Got Tags??

Me either!  And with the holidays upon us I realized that I hadn't purchased the Stampin Up! Tag topper punches that I have been wanting...time has just slipped by!

I keep seeing everyone making these adorable tags for their holiday gift giving and I realized that I have done my holiday shopping but I don't have any tags for when they get here.  I will definitely get on my website www.donnademko.stampinup.net and purchase the tag toppers but until then I need to be creative so I improvised a bit.

Here is what I did:

I took my whisper white, ivory and blackberry bliss and cut pieces 2" x 4".

Then I took my corner rounder and rounded the corner on all the rectangles I just made - on one side (the top) only.

Then I took my trusty pencil and marked off the middle - about a half inch in and used my hole puncher to punch out the hole for the ribbon.

I then took some designer paper that I have odds and ends of and cut them at 2" wide to place at the bottom of the tags. You could edge the paper with ink if you wanted but I just wanted a clean look for these.

Time to get stamping!

I stamped each one in a matching color to the designer paper and added matching ribbon.

I also added glossy accents, glitter and silver embossing.

I used silver embossing powder on the snowflakes to match the little silver dots on the designer paper.  I also put glossy accents on the ornament to make it pop more.

I stamped two colors of snowflakes on this one.  Soft Sky and Pool Party.  I used Lost Lagoon for the ornament color and topped it with glossy accents.

Not bad for using what I had on hand!

The pinecone is raised with pop dots and glitter and glossy accents finish it off. (it is still drying but will become clear when dry)

Are your tags done yet?  NO!  Get your supplies at www.donnademko.stampinup.net and get started!!  The tag is almost as nice a gift as the present.  In fact, you can bundle these in sets of 6 to sell at a craft show or give them as gifts as well.

HAPPY STAMPING!
